(Queen) Calantha

11/03/16 Kalila girl really, really wants that meerkat snack. Like, so badly. The screeching is getting old, fast. You eat it to show them that life doesn't always get them what they want.

12/01/16 Looking for a while, you find Calantha sitting between large rocks, away from the rest of the pride. She greets you warmly, though.

12/23/16 When you come to greet her, (Brm) Calantha quickly gets up, shuffling her paws on the ground to hide something she drew with her claw.

12/24/16 When you approach, (Brm) Calantha gives you the most intent look, but you cannot figure out why.

The last of Kalila's children and by far the most reserved, Calantha was born with beauty oddly subtle for her lineage. Her relationship with her mother was brief; her birth just barely preceded the death of her brother and former King, Kaliban, and so Queen Kalila was too busy mourning to attend to her cub. Instead, Cyzarine took pity on her, seeing much of herself in how she was overshadowed by Kaliban, only this time in death.
Cyzarine raised her as she laid the groundwork for the new rule of Basir.

Her relationship with Basir is one of mixed feelings. She often envies how much attention he receives from Cyzarine, despite knowing it is because she groomed him to be king. Her secret aspiration is to become vibrant and colorful and catch her sister's proud eye.

She would go on to produce marvelous cubs, including Kendi, King of Basir's rival court.

Calantha would serve dutifully as both a Queen and Broodmother, wishing to honor Cyzarine's legacy long after her sister's passing. In her old age however, she sought out her son, King Kendi, to pass peacefully in his pride and become one of the royal whispers there. Accompanying her in her journey to Kendi's Court, his sister Vevina would opt to spend the rest of her days by her brother's side as well.
