Bhūmi is the physical incarnation of Mother Earth. She is known by many different names, but revered for giving us life and sustenance to thrive in the universe In the pride, Bhūmi is primarily a caretaker and greets new pride members or visitors to their territory. She oversees the land and makes sure that everything stays within order, so no other pride member has to. Bhumi has a dark secret, hidden away in the bowels of the pride and protected with death. She is the true biological mother of Sita and Urmila, a pair of conjoined cubs that now reside with their adopted family in a pride far away from that of Brahma's. Her shame over bringing them into this life to suffer forced her to give them away, and she speaks of her humiliation to no one. As you come near, Bhūmi wakes up and yawns, then tries to sit on your back and go back to sleep, making you her pillow. Bhūmi flops on her back when you approach and tries to playfully bite you when you try to groom her.
