Spottedwing lay happily next to her mate, dragging her tongue through his mane to straighten out stray some fur. The young queen picked up some of her precious feather left by her winged companions and quickly worked to fix them in Sparkstar's mane. With a sigh she laid her head on his paws and felt him settle his head on top of her's. This was the good life, sure she was young and inexperienced as far as ruling a pride went but she worked hard. She was rewarded with love and support from her pridemates... well most of them. The king's mother, Wenet, did not believe she was worthy of the honor of being queen (something Wenet was never allowed to be). Spottedwing had years yet to try and convince the famous rabbit hunter.
