Biography
A fluffy, walking ball of fur and kindness, Kestrel is loved by everyone. He was taken into the Pride when their allies, the Moon Pride, had no room for the cub. Refusing to abandon the cub, his mother Rovo begged to have her son living in the Star Pride, where she knew he'd be well cared for and stay somewhat close to her. Nameless at the time, Rovo carried the cub through rocky hills that cut both territories apart when severe rain began to punish them. When a hard gush of wind threw Rovo off balance, the cub slipped her jaws and almost fell down a cliff. Almost. A great Banded Kestrel snatched the cub before he'd fall to his death and carried him to safety. Amazed by what happened, Rovo decided to name her son after the bird that saved his life. Kestrel believes it was the great spirit of his ancestors protecting him. Whatever it was, he's sure of his safety and is thankful of the family he has. He spends hours talking with his addoptive brother, Raspberry, the Pride's first Healer and Seer, about that day. "Perhaps you grew kestrel wings and saved yourself!" is what Raspberry always says.

You noticed Kestrel pushing an ostrich chick with his nose to help it get up, and watching it tumble away back to its mom. You sit down, smiling at him. What a cutie.
