Maxine

Both the pride Shaman and Healer, Maxine keeps to herself most of the time, either found organizing herbs, staring at the sky, or not found at all, typically for hours at a time and returning late in the evening. The Shaman-Healer is not one for talking, often of little to no words. There is only one other pridemate who can talk to her and not be uncertain how to further the conversation—Queen Eltaire.
For males who manage to become close to her, she is described to be rather...bold...in her flirtations, but never lets them get too far, as the only one who may do that is her King.

As you approach Maxine, she merely flicked her ear at you in greeting, focused on her herbs as she removes the fermented cacti, furled ubhubhubhu, and rotted roots from the fresh ones. All your attempts at conversation are met with absent-minded 'uh-huh''s, 'yeah''s, 'mmhm''s, and such. You decide to give up.
