Their mother’s teeth and claws are stained with blood. When you question Smoke, she explains that they were attacked by a mongoose while she wasn’t looking. You sit there, pondering this. It makes sense, but how could ONLY the tails be hurt? Walking away, a sudden thought hits you- Smoke’s father was a Primal. Was she trying to make them look like him...? You shudder as you wonder if the new mother is actually unhinged on the inside...” I wrote that because her litter of 4 had two tailless and one bobtailed, due to a GMO cow.
