Brother to Muustē and son to War, Kibtorootyaat has more than worked to earn his place in the pride. His mother pushed both her cubs hard to prove to the Felix and their pridemates that they were more than deserving of belonging to the jungle, but War was harshest on Kibto. Rather than to avoid her son sully her reputation (with her coming from no one and nothing as some lionesses do), War never hid from Kibto than him being male marked him. The pride would never want for lionesses, but lions were another story - should Kibto fall behind, the Felix would kick him out, and War would not stand there and watch her son, her only boy, be tossed into the world all alone to die. She knew he could earn a permanent home here, or even the place of the Felix one day, and she would not rest until his potential was reached and exploited.
Indeed, Kibtorootyat grew to be a formidable lion, just like his sister grew to be one of the most excellent Cerberi the pride had ever seen, but he also grew reclusive, silent. His temperament settled muchly after he reached adulthood to the point the pride worried he was so disconnected with them that he'd leave. Zee has approached the lion several times, both at the request of his people, War, and even Kich, the cub's mentor and bloodless older brother. To the relief of the pride, Kibto simply enjoys his solitude, and has admitted to getting overwhelmed very easily by the constant presence and interaction with others, and often scurries away before he can be thrown into a panic attack. Zee happily allows him to enjoy his space, as Kibto never falters in his tasks, and even Zee understands how alone-time sometimes is a must - perhaps better than most.

Later in the night, Hatua approached the new Felix and asked that he may be allowed to move back to the Hearth. The old heir apparent stated that he wants to make sure the Wardens and Cerberi don't want for help - with the last drought and the plague, other jungle residents, or even outsiders might get too daring for the pride's liking. Mercy agreed entirely, and to make sure the Chambers aren't left understaffed, he has asked Kiborootyat to cover for the other male. The dark lion agreed almost too quickly - longing for the peace and quiet of his pride's resting grounds and the tranquil company of the Undertakers and Monks.
It is also noted that in his later patrols he has found a curious new friend - a dwarf lioness who seems to have taken a shine to the mysterious male. Despite many of the pride females recognizing that Kibto's intense pelt and mane are quite attractive, it is hard to deny that this new friend, Asiista, is clearly flirting with the girls. Not that they mind, she's very polite about her advances, and some are enjoying it a little more than most...
