Warm Tones was known for having a short attention span. As he quickly tired of the numerous females in his pride, the lion finally began to set his sights on the lone female to the north.

She was fearsome and brutal; prey animal after prey animal fell to her vicious fangs and powerful paws. An imposing lioness, she was unusually large, outweighing many surrounding males, and thus quite able to fend off their pursuits of her. Rarely could any lion even approach this lone female, as her first action was typically to rush in and attack on sight. Lionesses feared meeting her alone; stories were told to cubs that she could crush skulls with her paws, that she was monstrous beast with no higher thinking or conscious thought.

Warm Tones, safe to say, was intrigued by this lone lioness. Her pale pelt was marred with pink markings and bloodstains. Her massive size, bigger even than him, was intimidating, yet alluring. One night, under cover of darkness, he would leave to seek after her. She later gave birth to a single special cub, a ferus. Only then did WT learn her true name - simply, Shard.

Today, though technically Queen of the pride, and the mother of the king, she does not live amongst the other members, and remains nameless to them. She is referred to as "The Roseate Huntress" due to her markings (and other less savory names, behind the King's back). She remains a loner by nature, living singularly, as she likely always will.
