Flavour text:
You were enjoying a nice sunbeam when something began clawing your tail. Ah, it's Queen Kipepea The II. Ouchie, please leave some fur on there, little one.

You were trying to hide that you scratched your paw in the last battle, but Queen Kipepea The II came up to softly groom it for you. Thanks, sweetheart.

You noticed Queen Kipepea The II pushing an ostrich chick with her nose to help it get up, and watching it tumble away back to its mom. You sit down, smiling at her. What a cutie.

You watch Queen Kipepea II quietly for a while, and she grooms herself cutely, seeming to glow in your presence.

Queen Kipepea, the Reborn

Not many lions remember the first official queen of what is now known as the Luna Luceat Pride although at the time it was called the Sun Down Pride. Her reign dates back to the days of king Sokar - the first king to implement the generation tracking and in particular Kipepea's line. She and Sokar were mates and out of their union was born the first descendant of Kipepea - Zuri. Her descendants still live in the pride and no king (foreign or pride descendant) has ever dared to touch or meddle with her bloodline - such was the respect for the beloved queen. It was said she will be reborn one day from one of her descendants in a new body and she will be a queen again. Over a 2 dacades went by and soon the prophecy was forgotten, kings reigned and fell, times and traditions shifted and the world changed. Kipepea, the once beloved queen was all but forgoten - only her bloodline keeping her memory alive. Her bloodline, however, was a whole lot different in appearance than Kipepea. Years of slective breeding, change in politics, kings and traditions have changed Kipepea's descendants so much that they no longer hold any resemblance to her.

It wasn't until Rebus came to power that the pride actively started the project that would bring Kipepea's clone to life. Rebus was fascinated with Kipepea. He often listened to her descendants who told him sotries about her and the pride back then. The dark king fell in love with her soon after. But how can you love a lion that has been dead for so long? His pride called him mad, delusional, but that didn't stop him. He paid a fortune getting the right lionesses and the right studs in hopes to remake her, to birth her new life.

A year went by and the pride was really concerned for their king. After many failed attempts Rebus felt like he was losing his mind, the heartache he felt was immense. He often lashed out on his pride mates and became aggressive and unstable. The pride's priests along with Leon contacted the ancestors in November seeking advice for their king's troubled soul. They spoke with the 3 lion shamans. The lion shamans were deeply concerned as Rebus had extraordinary powers and in his unstable state he could be very dangerous. "We cannot bring your beloved queen's soul, but we can ensure that a cub with her appearance would be born," they told the pride's priests. Their words were very vague, but it was enough to calm the king.

Just like the 3 lion shamans told them a female cub with striking resemblance to Queen Kipepea was born into the pride. The pride was quite shocked as her mother, Rhenna, was no descendant of Kipepea. Rebus was over the moon. His future queen has been born. The small female cub bore the same name as the beloved queen and was adored by all. Her coat was pink, with white markings and blueish tint on her back, her eyes were the colour of the dawning sun and her nose bright pink.

She grew up being groomed and prepared to become a queen of the pride. Kipepea had a sweet and kind spirit so she excelled at everything the elders put on her path. Once she was old enough to hunt she began training with the hunters, building a lean, but strong physique. At the age of 2 years old - the cusp of her adulthood - she was crowned the active and only queen of the Luna Luceat Pride. Kipepea took her place as queen and mate to Rebus with grace and dignity.

Kipepea was one of the most sweetest and calm queens the pride has ever had. She always tried to help whenever she could and was always there for her mate. The pink lioness had a positive influence on Rebus. He was much calmer and relaxed when she was around, his mind finally at peace. Rebus adored his queen and was very protective of her, often snarling at his sub males when they got too close.

Kipepea soon came to love Rebus back. They were matching pieces of a puzzle, they were light and dark, they were the sun and the moon. They completed each other like no other lion could. Their strong bond granted them bountiful hunts and peaceful times from the ancestors.

To prove his undying love Rebus took on an impossible challenged: slay a crocodille and take its thick skin. They tried to stop him, make him see reason, but he was determined. There was an old an quite big crocodille plaguing the nearby river scaring the prey away. He will slay the monster in the name of his queen and bring her back its thick coat.

He waited patiently hidden in the tall grass by the river. He had been watching the crocodille and its movements for over a week and he was finally ready. Rebus knew it won't be easy. He could die or be seriously injured. So he waited, planned and watched. The crocodille was an old female who had just laid her last eggs and was viciously protecting them. Her back was scarred from her previous fights with other crocodilles and some of her teeth were missing. He needed to get her onto her back and go for her throat where the skin was thinner.
