Lesedi was the second lioness to join Shabal's pride, back when he was a young and somewhat more scatterbrained, uncertain young male. He'd been so soft and sweet, and she formed a crush on him. Eventually she gathered up the courage to be affectionate with him, and they blossomed into a passionate relationship... But the flame that burns the brightest burns out the quickest. As more lionesses joined the pride Lesedi felt less and less secure and special to her king, regardless of Shabal's reassurances. With the arrival of 'Queen' Rashaa and her subsequent royal marriage to Lord Shabal, Lesedi moved herself out of Al-Nuzhibah's Harem and can now be typically found organizing the pride's hunting parties.

Today Lesedi looks: Unhappy. Lesedi looks at you in silence, whacking her tail on the ground repetitively. You were going to ask her to join you for a meal, but her icy stare stopped you in your tracks. How lovely. Lying on the ground with a displeased grimace, she turns her head, and instead watches the horizon.

6y6mo: Hmm, let me see. Ah yes, this lioness is pregnant with 2 cubs. Thank you for your.. beetles.
Lesedi, Year 4, Month 1: After being gone for a few months, Lesedi returned to the pride with very few words. She spends most of her time sitting alone at the water's edge, watching the patterns of ripples on the surface. She does not take kindly to being approached by most, and takes a lot of care to avoid most members of the Harem except for Valide Mirembe, who she is
obligated to speak with.
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 8: Today Queen Rashaa and Valide Mirembe's cubs where born. Lesedi couldn't help but feel her stomach twisting in on itself with bitter resentment. The entire pride had gathered, heaping endless praise and compliments on the new cubs and their mothers, almost as if to spite Lesedi for some cruel and unknowable reason. Her sullen eyes lingered on Shabal's jubilant face, and heartbreak pulled the corners of her mouth down. Without a word she slunk away and vanished into the tall grass to be alone. She did not return that night, nor the night after, or even the week following.
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 7: 'Queen' Rashaa's growing belly fills Lesedi with dread. She knows what the changes mean, and she finds herself spending more and more of her time away from home on hunts and out on the opposite end of the territory trying to gather her thoughts and feelings. She had been his Queen once, his consort, his object of affections and love- but it was clear to her that things where different now, though she wasn't willing to accept that idea yet.
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 6: A new, yet painfully familiar lioness joined the pride today: Rashaa, or as Lord Shabal would have it, 'Queen' Rashaa. Lesedi instantly recognized her scent as having clung to Shabal before. Her lord eagerly explained that this new lioness was from his dream visions, that he was blessed and blown away by the fact that she was real and with him. Lesedi did her best to stay composed but in the end failed. Tears welled up in her eyes and she landed a stinging slap on Lord Shabal's muzzle before running off.
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 5: Lesedi was certain that she caught the scent of an unknown lioness on Shabal earlier today. She was huffy and despondent all week, and seems incredibly distant, but refused to give a straight answer to anyone about her feelings.
Lesedi and Valide Mirembe nearly came to blows when the Valide told her to either talk to someone about her problem or get over it.
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 4: Shabal kept mentioning a lioness he'd seen in a dream recently. Lesedi notices how his breath catches as he describes the dream lioness, and she feels pangs deep in her chest. Isn't she enough? Doesn't she always go above and beyond for her pride? For him? She tries her best to swallow her pride after drying her cheeks, but only finds herself feeling bitter about the whole idea. How could he be thinking of some lioness when they'd lost the last of their cubs so recently?
Lesedi, Year 3, Month 3: Prince Iyaad was found dead of internal injuries this morning by Broodmother
Khadeeja the Distant. Judging from the tracks, it seems that he had managed to anger a young bull elephant and ended up suffering the ultimate price. As his mother Lesedi was distraught, especially now that she had lost both him and his brother Umair, the two cubs of her first litter. The loss left her feeling hollow and depressed.
Lesedi, Year 2, Month 11: Prince Umair was found dead by Broodmother
Folami the Stubborn this morning. There were no signs of predators, so apparently it seems that he must have eaten something toxic during the night. As his mother Lesedi was incredibly rattled. Umair was one of two sons from her and Shabal's first and (thus far) only litter.
