Biography
Bringer of night terrors and goddess of madness, Melinoë disguises herself against the brush. She paints a beautiful picture, with fur the color of the moon, points the color of Dionysus's wine, margay that takes after her mother, the goddess of Springtime. Yet, perhaps the most symbolic, her twin tails. It is said this is a warning sign-a cautionary tale of her duality. Beauty and fear twine together, creating a nightmare that most won't wish to awake from.

Musical Inspiration:
Lurk - The Neighborhood
Seven Devils - Florence + The Machine (slowed)
Dancing In a Daydream - Roses & Revolutions (ft. Weathers)

Notes: Melinoë is really meant to express the duality between horror and beauty. I find that a lot of times, my nightmares stem from beautiful things, which in turn makes it difficult for me to differentiate between good dreams and dangerous ones until it's a little too late. I was torn between choosing a vibe for her, but I'd say she drifts somewhere between haunted gothic cathedrals and "human" horror (less otherworldly, more focused on the sins of humanity). Her color style is either monochromatic or spring colors depending on the situation and the nightmare she's influencing.

Corresponding Deity: Melinoë - Greek Chthonic Goddess of Nightmares and Madness
