images credit to #236112 LDL Journal Log 25. May - This girl was the only lion with slot 4 Lilac Dorsal Line on all of LD AND one of only 4 with the marking at the moment she was claimed!! She was clearly a groupie originally, but she was chased, and I found her in explore. I actually almost didn't claim her, since it almost RO and if I claimed one more lioness, I wouldn't have enough room for all my aging adols. But I thought she had a Dorsal Line mark, and I knew those were new raffle-only marks... so I gave it a shot! No regrets!! As a side note, she was NOT auto-claimed. Yikes, did I take a chance with that! Side note: She was named after a song by one of my favorite groups - TVXQ! - and because she literally has a purple line down her back XD 26. May - I was too tired the night before, so I decided to breed her today and IBF the litter. She only had one cub... and it did not get LDL :( I really should have checked the number of cubs and just CRB'd her when I saw it was one... but I was stupid. Oh well, lesson learned. 31. May - I was contacted today from someone who wanted to buy her or her cubs. I said no about selling her, but I am willing to sell her cubs. Probably not the first time I get LDL cubs... but perhaps I'll be ready to sell the next breeding's cubs. 1. June - There are more LDL lions around now (not many, but more), but she is still the only slot 4... until she passes her darn mark!!! The other LDL lions are mostly slot 1 from other groupies, and there is that one slot 8 male groupie that I have contacted that person about buying (and got a weird response that I did not understand) and the raffle lioness where the mark originated (in slot 9) that is being held in a frozen account and not being bred. There are really only two active slots for this mark right now, and unfortunately, Purple Line is the only game in town as far as non-slot 1 LDL lions go. I only say unfortunately because she has not had an LDL cub yet... Also, she has had some work done (new base, mark, decor) and she looks fabulous! 7. June - I got SUPER impatient! I wanted to breed her again SO BADLY. So I bought... several (5 or 6, I think??) Yohimbe Barks so I could breed her today. HOWEVER!! I was smart and used a Buffalo Scrotum this time and bred her to a gen 1 male without a mark in slot 4. NOW there are THREE lions with slot 4 LDL since she had her cubs ^^ (Stupid 3rd cub not getting the mark...) One of her 3 cubs even got a rosette from dad, so I am DEFINITELY keeping that one!! I am also aging them up so I can breed them tomorrow and start spreading the mark! The rosette cub, Madini, is precious and I am giving her a special base and a pose right away!! 8. June - Bad news today... even though I bred both her daughters to a gen 2 male without a slot 4 mark, none of their cubs got LDL. Two of the cubs did get WDL from their dad, so that's cool, but not as cool as it could have been with LDL as well. Oh, well. Three lions with LDL is still a hell of a lot better than just one!! 10. June - I was contacted for the second time about her/her cubs. They offered me a Gnawrock and 2 cubs with Lilac Freckles 1 & 2 for one of my three girls. Being able to guarantee passing LDL next time I breed Purple Line is a really amazing thought, especially if I combine that with a Buffy and breed to Jae with all his great marks! I said yes and offered Madini's sister, since I'm really attached to Madini herself with her lovely leopard-like appearance. Now, next time I breed one of my two LDL girls, I am guaranteed THREE LDL cubs. That's really super amazing actually. Gnawrocks are really expensive right now, too, so this was an amazing opportunity for me! I'm not sure yet who I will be breeding with the gnaw. It mostly depends on Jae at the moment, since I'm thinking about replacing him to try to get NDL onto him. If he is gen 1 or 2, I'll breed to Purple Line. If he is gen 3 or higher, I'll probably breed to Madini instead. 11. June - Not directly related to the LDL ladies, but I replaced Jae today to start trying to get NDL onto him. He has no slot 10 mark to more easily acquire NDL in that slot. He still has my three favorite marks, plus two other BOs, so even if this fails, I'll still mute replace him in the next week so he can be low gen. Right now he is clean, but he has a super long heritage, which I'm not a huge fan of. No luck today, but I did produce some more NDL cubs that I aged up to breed with him tomorrow. There are FIVE NDL lionesses that I will be breeding to him tomorrow, so with some luck, one of those cubs will be heir worthy!! And if not, I'll just age up whatever NDL cubs are born and try again the following day. 12. June - No such luck getting my side king heir today, either. There is one cub that is decent, but I'm holding off on kinging her until I breed the 5 other NDL cubs that I bred today. I've aged them up and will breed them all tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow will be the day I produce my NDL looks heir! If not, I might king the decent lady that was born today instead. 13. June - Good news today! I got a great cub with all the BO traits I wanted and every mark I was hoping for except for Onyx Panther. And yes, the cub had NDL!! I decided to king the cub and heritage replace it with a Primal groupie. So now when Purple Line is in heat again, I can breed her to my new queen, Sohni! The cubs will have a chance of getting two dorsal line marks now :D 14. June - Something super cool happened today! The person who has Purple Line's other daughter bred her today and kinged a cub with LDL! The mark is definitely going to spread now, thanks to this awesome maneuver. Purple Line is very proud that she is going to have an guaranteed legacy. Her mark will not be going extinct any time soon :) They also gifted me an LDL cub, so I've aged her up and will be breeding her tomorrow, probably with Sohni, and maybe with the gnawrock. This makes me rethink my side king plans now... 15. June - I did breed the new LDL cub today, but not with Sohni. I ended up breeding her to a WDL stud with a gnaw and a buffy that I bought for this exact purpose (sob sob so expensive). She had FOUR cubs, all with LDL, of course and three of them also got WDL!! What luck! I'm aging all four of them up to breed with Sohni tomorrow (and it will definitely be Sohni this time). What would be ideal would be a cub with all three of the new dorsal line marks, Lilac, Noctis and White, and also Feralis Noctis and maybe a few other BO marks. I really want to keep the BO eyes, skin, mane and mane color on Sohni now, so I'm probably going to be picky about that. We shall see what happens, I suppose! 16. June - After breeding the 4 new LDL girls today, I ended up with only one new LDL cub. I'm not sure how to proceed now... I will probably age her up, but do I breed her with Sohni again or with another WDL king to try for 3 DL marks on the cub? I'm really not sure, so I'll have to think about that for a bit. 17. June - Bred the only remaining LDL cub to Sohni... and no luck. Kinda saw that coming to be honest. Oh well. I was busy all day irl, so I just gave up on any more LDL thoughts today. 18. June - Finally bred Purple Line again today (with an assist from some SoDs). I used the Ochre Gnawrock on LDL and a Buffalo Scrotum alongside eye and skin rocks and bred her to Sohni. Two of the three cubs got both LDL and NDL AND Sohni's BO mane and mane color. The only other mark that both cubs got was Feline 7 Noctis. I decided to king one of them since I have enough cubs with the other marks around. Now I can finally get LDL on a bunch of my own lions. The only thing I need to figure out is how to get the cubs out there. Do I abandon them at the tree, sell them, chase them as adults, or a combination of the three? I'll figure that out later. In the meantime, I'll try to get some more BO marks on my side king and maybe even keep trying for WDL for a triple DL king! 30. June - Probably the final LDL update! After a LOT of GB spent replacing my side king, I now have a double dorsal line (LDL & NDL) king with Noctis Siamese and a rare slot 9 Feline 9 Onyx! Very exciting stuff! I'm still trying to get some freckles marks (probably Lilac) and WDL onto him, but this is a long term WIP since it will hopefully lead to the kinging of a full BO king on my main when I retire Geki in August. Well, when he dies naturally, since I'm not retiring him early. Fingers crossed for some decent luck and thanks to Purple Line for making this all possible!! I even bought some art of her today (and her daughter Madini) today to show how much I love this girl ^^ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stats 146-17 when claimed Purple Line seems to hide something under her paw as you greet her, apparently not intending to share whatever tidbit she is holding. Purple Line stops eating her morning snack, a lizard, and snarls at you when you try to greet her, hiding the reptile between her paws. After greeting each other, Purple Line feels offended you did not give her enough attention and doesn't seem to be interested in you for the rest of the day.
