Nadira was born princess of the pride, her parents being the tyrant King Netirix and the peaceful Queen Sāntira. She grew up very close with her mother, who did her best to teach the young ferus to keep her head down and do as she was told, lest something terrible happen to her just as it had happened to her siblings. She was never close with her father, and barely ever even spoke to him. It was clear that the relentless king never showed much favor to her, either. So Nadira grew older and living in constant fear, as she had been raised to. This was not Sāntira's fault, for she had only been trying to keep her only daughter safe. But it greatly impacted the young ferus.

When Nadira was a young ferusess, she began to spend more time with Hallyon, quickly becoming friends with the only slightly-older male. It was clear that he had taken a liking to her, but Nadira did not recprocate his feelings. When her father was murdered, slain by the young submale Sequoia, Nadira felt slightly remorseful and saddened. She missed the fact that she had never had a father figure, and had grown up constantly glancing over her shoulder out of fear, never stepping out of line lest she risk death. But at the same time, his death opened the space for a new era, one of greatness and joy. So with open arms, she welcomed Sequoia as king. She was even more overjoyed when Sequoia named her as his Queen.

At first, a sort of awkwardness settled between the two. But as time went on, the two grew very fond of each other and formed a real romance- one that was sweet, and gentle and true. Life seemed to have finally righted itself.

So she was shocked when she learned of Hallyon's betrayal- the same lion who had been her and Sequoia's close friend for as long as they could remember. Who had supported them, helped them, and even nominated Sequoia as king and suggested Nadira as Queen. She was immensely saddened, having lost yet another crucial relationship in her life. But as long as Sequoia was by her side, she convinced herself that everything would be okay. The two even welcomed their first cub into the world: a ferus daughter Nadira decided to name Sāila, partially after her mother.

The pair lived in happiness for many years, leading their pride well and bringing it into an era of prosperity. But then, tragedy struck. Sequoia had a seizure and, unsure of how to help him in their panic, he ultimately died. Luckily, Nadira had been mentoring a younger lioness, Lilith, in their pride for some time, having taken the orphan in under her wing. The pride all collectively welcomed Lilith to the throne as their first reigning Queen and Nadira gladly stepped down from her role, glad and willing to serve as an Ex-Queen, aiding Lilith in making crucial decisions and acting as her advisor.

When you greet her, Nadira smacks you with her tail as she turns around to take care of her own damn business.

You ask Nadira if she wants a tip on her hunting technique, and she tells you she'd rather learn from a log. Ugh, brat.
