Monan, Vengeful Creator
Once, when the world was harmonious and people were fair and good, Monan lived among humans. But then, when humans grew hateful and malicious, Monan sent a flood of fire to cleanse the Earth. That created mountains and cliffs. Irin-magé was the only one alive, and he was able to convince Monan to give humanity a second chance. So he did, and Irin-magé had a son with a woman made only for that. That son was Maire-monan and, as Monan, he had the power to create animals to roam the planet. Because of that humanity burned Maire-monan: they were scared of his powers. As the flames consumed Maire-monan, another flood came down and washed the Earth again. After almost a millennium Monan still can't belive what humans are doing to his beloved planet: killing wildlife, burning down entire forests to make room for pastures, destroying their home and that of the animals! Enraged, he came down as a jaguar. His fur took different colors to show his divinity and his eyes became intense gold to show his determination. He became the guardian of all of Brasil's animals and swears to defend them with his life against the humans that proved so unworthy of his trust.
