Canonically, magma is volcano's apprentice that arrived with her. She hid her eyes, saying she was blinded by an injury. After getting to know the cubs, a rumour spread around from a different cub that she was faking it for attention. Once while wrestling her bandage was ripped off. When she blinked, her eyes caught the light and ignited, presenting her actual eyes. The cubs, now adolescents, thought she was cursed and a bad omen. During this time, Chainlink was away. Ashen was left in charge, and was unsure about what to do. Volcano said she was blind, and believes this is a sign of possession. Magma was conflicted, as she herself didn't know what was happening. Later that day, a few adolescents that were new, and recently bought led her to a cliff. There, she was told that they believed she was gifted, and had supernatural powers. They raised her, and welcomed her. Then, out of a hidden spot behind a tree, a third submale arrived, with elephant tusks adorning his sides, the moon glistening on them. "We think you're great, but you could be more useful doing...other things" one of them said. They all came closer. "You'd work great as a sacrifice... maybe then we''ll gain some good omens'' Magma's eyes widened, and she opened her mouth to call for help, but the fight was already over. The male with the tusks had already started charging, and hit her. The tusks collided with her, and with such force cut her, while pushing her off. The other two males appeared at the edge, to watch their plan. Magma fell, yelling, screaming, crying, but was silent after she finally made it to the ground, on top of a camelthorn tree, near sharp rocks, in a ditch. One of the submales was already heading back, to alert others that magma had "tripped''. When volcano arrived, she was crying, and upon the sight of Magma, screaming. "Sleep well little one" Ashen muttered. Other lionesses arrived, uncertain of what to do. Chainlink was certain to be mad, and may punish some lions. "what do we do?" a lioness muttered.
"wait" volcano said, upon seeing marks on magma's side.
"this is no accident. There are marks on her side, one on her shoulder, and another on her thigh. Only certain things can cause those kind of wounds, and a camelthorn, or a fall, could not do that...'' she turned around, to face the three adolescents.
"You...killed.....her...didn't you?'
her eyes narrowed, and all eyes were on them. She lunged foreword, claws out, ready to kill. She caught one of them, and went for the throat. When she was eventually pulled away, the adolescent was severely injured. but no-one dared to start fighting with volcano. "Check the top for weapons" she muttered. A submale rushed up the cliff, desperately wanting to leave the situation. Several seconds later, a roar was heard.
"he found it...'' then she stared laughing, "those adolescents are not safe... take them away, they will not survive the night''
" you will not touch them, Volcano" Ashen growled
"no, i won't... but magma will get revenge...can't you feel it?"
"she's dead, they will not be. Leave, everyone, get back to camp'
......
Everyone woke up, to the sound of volcano laughing, yelling, and growling.
"I was right... but no-one believed me... almost sad, but definitely ironic"
A grey lioness walked over, before screaming
The three adolescents were all dead, and found by an early morning patrol
The first, poisoned by chemicals while fetching water for his friend
The second, gored by elephants, while out pooping, along with his other injuries from volcano
The last, who had pushed magma, was torn apart and eaten alive by hyenas, then died from being suffocated by sand.
"They deserved it...." an unidentifiable voice said, which only volcano could recognise.
"You will be reborn, my child" volcano whispered back.

Approximately four months later, a cub was bought, by Chainlink, from the trading centre. When she saw those eyes, volcano smiled, and said
"welcome home, I've missed you...
Magma"
