Apprentice Advisor Cupid

The adoptive son of Helix and Quivering Onyx, the pride’s sub males, Cupid was raised with the whole pride backing him. Cupid was born of interesting circumstances; his biological mother, Stampede, fell pregnant due to an unfortunate chance encounter with the king of a rival pride, and due to this, she was ridiculed and cast out by Vesuvius. That’s when Helix stepped in to defend her, and seeing his care for her made Stampede entrust Helix to help raise her cubs. Helix agreed to take in Stampede’s litter and raise them as his own, though told her that he would not be her mate, as he was interested in male lions and not lionesses. Stampede was relieved at this, as she was the opposite and was promised to another lioness already. So, the two raised the cubs together but with their respective mates; Cupid being raised by Helix and Quivering Onyx, and his siblings being raised by Stampede and.
Despite having two fathers and being raised under Vesuvius’s leadership, Cupid is anything but reserved; he is cocky and self assured, and a role model for the younger cubs to play with. Cupid takes his role as Royal Advisor very seriously, despite still being his father’s apprentice. With this, due to his upbringing, Cupid also considers himself a prince of sorts, or at least acts like it, despite not being blood related to any king of Ad Astra. He is affectionately treated like the pride’s annoying little brother, and he continues to learn how to advise the king with the help of his father.
