despite his queit demeanor yet scary looks, itaru is very close with monty, and is a pretty open book once he is known, when he was younger he found a small arabian wolf cowering outside of the den, it was obvious it was a runt who had been tossed aside to be fed to the lions. Itaru took in the small cub, which monty was weary but allowed either way. The cub was name orion and stayed beside itarus side ever since.
