Biography
- Of the many cubs that King Taiken took in, Dengo was the first. A frightened adolescent, cornered by callous predators, a crackling snarl was the key to his salvation. King Taiken flew into action, claws and maw versus the beasts that would have slain the small male. When all was said and done, the King turned a kind eye to the cub and urged him home to his territory, where his wounds and hunger were both tended with equal care.

- Dengo grew to be the first submale of King Taiken, taking on the duties of training the males that came and went throughout the years. Dengo was the only one who staid for very long. His loyalty to the kind King was unparalleled.

- During a training tussle, Dengo's right eye was gored open, leaving him nearly blind on that side. Taiken was beside himself and from that day forward, never raised a paw against Dengo again. Not once did the young male ever blame his king. The huntresses all bore their scars of battle, it was only fair that he had his.

- King Taiken appointed Dengo to guard over the Nursery, where the pregnant lionesses and all the cubs could reside in safety. Dengo took this as the highest honor, being trusted with the future of the pride, and would guard those lions with his life.

- Taiken stepped down from his position as leader, allowing a large primal male to take his place. There were whispers of why he had not chosen Dengo as his successor, but Dengo himself never paid them any mind. He respected this new male who treated him much the same as Taiken, if not a little less warmly.

- None mourned more loudly than Dengo when the old King passed in his sleep, curled in a heap around Dengo and a mass of cubs and snuggly lionesses. Old and weary though he was, it was a shock. Dengo's bellows could be heard through the territory for several days following his death.
