Cub 3 was resting by the edge of the pride, though she knew her beauty and worth, her down to earth personality left her searching for a forever home and nothing else.
“Now now, cub 3, what did I say about straying too far from the pride?” Amaranth sighed, as he nipped her ears playfully and laid her down between his paws, licking and cleaning her for her journey ahead, wanting her to be presentable.
Her answer was in soft purrs, knowing Amaranth couldn’t be upset For long, “I have news for you,” Amaranth said in between licks, “pack your things, you’re going with a strong king named Strawberry, they will take care of you.”
Cub 3 yipped in excitement as she wiggled her way out of Amaranth’s grasp, starring out from the den, searching for her new king. “Hopefully I will get a better name!” Cub 3 grinned.
Amaranth chuckled, “now, take these,” he handed her 2 food bundles, “you always want to bring a gift when you enter someone’s den.”
“Why, don’t you usually send those with my status 2 gold beetles?” She grumbled, wondering if her status was wrong.
Amaranth blushed slightly out of embarrassment, “well, we don’t have gold beetles right now, child, but we will send them to your king when we gain some.” Amaranth reassured her, “for now we send food bundles to ensure you’re well fed.”
Cub 3 nodded her head understanding, as she saw a lion with a big grin far ahead, they seemed anxiously excited, pacing back in forth, perhaps wondering if the arrangements were off since it was taking some time for Amaranth to return.
As Amaranth walked the striped cub to her king, he reassured her he will visit, “I will check on you everyday until your 2nd birthday, to ensure you’ve grown strong and are happy. Don’t worry, cub, I will watch you from afar, you will never be forgotten.”
She smiled, wanting to play with her new king, nipping at their back legs, her bottom slightly wiggled as she pounced, giggling as her king reciprocated her love. Amaranth knew he made the right decision, seeing their bond growing with every second.
