My name has changed many a times now, and each time it feels more and more like a title, and less like a permanent name. Except for this last time. I have been known as Dion for a few months now, Prince Dion... Now, Emperor Xenophon has decided to change the titles and sort through the pride, changing our living arrangements and making sure each cave has a sub male living within as extra protection. Pan moved into a very temporary looking cave, along with all the cubs that won't be staying with the pride. He doesn't seem upset about being told to step out by Perceptor. He may be a very humble lion, but he is rather harsh towards Pan and I. Xenophon is very unscrupulous at times, but he seems to have guidance of some source. Pan told me the past kings of the pride speak to him, and guide him. That alone causes me to fill to the brim with excitement. I want to ask Xenophon about that, but I am afraid it's not something we are allowed to discuss. I have heard him speaking in his cave even after the Advisor's and Elder's leave him. One of the times I sat and listened to what he was saying, and I swear to the stars I heard someone in there with him... But I did not recognize this voice. I dare not bring it up though, as eavesdropping was frowned upon heavily in my last pride, and I did not wish to find out what would happen.
Oct. 21st, 2022-
A new male has been brought to the territory. He's a rather handsome fellow, too... Super kind, he aids me in playing with the cubs. Xenophon calls him Knock Out, although he's been shortening it to KO. He has a lot of knowledge in medicine, and seems to be very good-hearted. Perceptor was taken away from the pride by Xenophon's friend, Jansk... But of course he got to me before he was taken away. My wounds are all minor, and are most certainly going to scar, but Knock Out has been very kind to me, tending to my wounds and aiding me in patrolling. He is more than the right choice to be this pride's next king, and I'd gladly serve him to my dying day.
