Brought to Savanna Man’s pride with her mother, Sunset and her sister, Dusty when the two sisters were only 3 months old. Moonbeam is a hit with all the pride members. Her joyful nature is contagious as when she is near it is hard not to smile. This beautiful lioness has a bright future ahead of her and is the favorite of the two sisters. (Don’t tell Dusty) After the unexpected death of her mother she started to work even harder to be a great hunter like her mother. However she has noticed strange changes in her sister’s behavior. She was tense and quick to lash out at others. But Moonbeam will never forget the day that her sister came home covered in blood and holding human ribs. It was the day after Dusty’s mate, Rusty was killed by poachers. She had learned that the once playful lioness had murdered the poacher who shot Rusty right in front of his family. Despite this Moonbeam still loved Dusty. And when Dusty hurt Hailstorm who was protecting a human child named Tomoya, Moonbeam still loved her sister. She is very concerned about her sister and try’s to be there for her, even when Dusty pushes her away. Moonbeam has vowed to stay by her sister’s side even if it kills her.
One day Junko told her that she wanted to tell her something so they went on a walk. But to the horror of Junko, Moonbeam got caught in a poacher trap. Moonbeam tried her best to get out but she only had cut her skin on the tight ropes. She tried her best to keep her now crying daughter calm. The poachers were accompanied by the wife of the poacher that her aunt, Dusty had killed. They had wanted revenge! But out of nowhere Dusty leaped onto the one with the gun and killed him. The gun was lost in the fight, but it was a viscous one. The wife had burned Dusty with a torch before being killed by the same lioness that killed her husband. Junko and Dusty got Moonbeam free and they headed home. But little did they know that one poacher had ran away to tell the tale.
After a while the poachers came back and almost killed Sakura, Daffodil, Mettaton, Papy, Ballora, Junko, Junko’s Daughter, Rusty the Second, and Moonbeam. Hailstorm and Tomoya ran to get help from humans while Dusty fought bravely. She won. However Dusty was mortally wounded in the battle. Moonbeam was there at her sister’s side. And she too soon died of old age later.
