Deep Waters, born as one of the three cubs touched by the gazes of their fallen ancestors, was dealt a heavy burden from her mere conception by that of the elders within her pride – for there was no such thing as the ancestors, and subsequent gods making a mistake; "seers" had been borne amongst them, and delivered by a merciful haze. Despite her mother's best attempts to keep the trio protected, and ensure their ability to simply be cubs for the first year of their life, expectations were placed unto the trio from the mere moment that they had opened their eyes and gazed upon the world that surrounded them – and the many faces that had come to believe that their safety was lain in tiny, unprepared paws.
