Upon closer examination, it looks like their claws failed to develop; their paw pads are also slightly bigger and darker than most lions'. Cub's future is certain - they will not be able to hunt without claws. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing would calm down the wailing Stubby Toe Beans until they were passed to Grandpaw Nightshade's paws. The old lion smothers Stubby Toe Beans with his mane until they start giggling. When Stubby Toe Beans darts to Grandpaw Nightshade with a small rodent in their jaws, Grandpaw Nightshade tells them how wonderfully they'd done, and says they'll make an excellent hunter in the future. (ironically) You see Grandpaw Nightshade giving some heartfelt advice to Stubby Toe Beans about how to treat the lionesses properly. The cub was listening well enough, which relieves you. In your opinion, they could definitely use some work on that subject!
