Looking for older lions that are being sold, Grimalkin stumbled across both Lagoona and Pyro, two lionesses that didn't even have names. Pyro was the second lioness bought, and Grimalkin didn't mind how many GB she had to spend. She greeted the pretty lioness kindly, which seemed to bring a smile to his face. Grimalkin makes a well-meaning comment about Pyro's dwarfism, which is originally greeted with slight fear of being made fun of,,, but Grimalkin just finds it interesting, and tells Pyro about her pride. She joins the pride as a hunter, and a shockingly good one at that.

An injured adjule comes across her one night while she's hunting, and it seems like it's been badly burned. He takes a few seconds to consider, but then he helps the poor thing. It spends a lot of its time with her now, and she's decided to name it Ember.

Pyro retires from hunting on 10.7.23, giving the position in the Gatekeepers hunting party to Aurora Borealis, Tarot's first daughter. She has her final cub on 10.11.23, a healthy striped baby with Grimalkin's paradise eyes. He knows he's going to want to retire once Stripes is 5 months old, which he lets Grimalkin know softly one night. Grimalkin respects her wishes, even while being very sad to see her go. Stripes takes care of Ember.
