Under SUNWAVES rein Cubs: Snarky's Fur Sandy's Fur always felt a bit privliged for being able to protect Shadow's Snape, the heir of the throne, when he was nothing but a wee cub. Sandy protected all her cubs, of course, that was her job as a broodmother, but she especially looked after a certain cub: Shadow's Snape. She loved him like he was one of her cubs, and he was respectful and knew what was right and what was wrong. She always gave him more food, played with him more, and tried teaching him about the world, but of course the other cubs noticed. They had demanded equal treatment, and when Sandy didn't give it to them, they brought Sunwave, who, tiredly, did say even though Shadow was the heir, she had to be fair to the other protected cubs.
