Lead Huntress Zuberi - Mother of the Vision Lake Pride.

Miraculously Zuberi healed after her broken shoulder against all odds and lived through the hardest drought in her lifetime. She passed on the role of lead huntress to her remaining nieces and daughters with Thr-andala taking over the role as Lead Huntress urging her youngest daughter Johari, who just came of age to learn under her.

Being already elderly she knew experiencing the first rains was close to a miracle and she lived happily a few weeks into the wet season, experiencing the joys of new life, her great grand cubs and king Helios retiring on his rule to his Daughter Ira alongside the rogue Prana, who she had encouraged to stay within the boarders of her pride. At last she could rest. Until one morning she slipped away into the high grass, content.

Zuberi served her pride like no other. Her dynasty will be carried on in the prides lore and history for many generations after her.

Zuberi was out on a hunt as the roar of a rogue was heard over the lakeside pride. She ordered her huntresses immediately back to rush to their kings aid. Unfortunately she had been far too late for the king and the stranger had already moved on the the brood-mothers and young males leaving a bloody trail at the foot of the dens.

To this day the lionesses tell tales how she had rushed the rogue Helios like a honeybadger and smacked him right in his face. Giving him him an additional eye scar. Tying him in battle and pushing him back long enough for some of the weaker pride members to flee. Helios tried to punish her harshly after his takeover but her position as lead huntress made her irreplaceable to the loyalty and filled bellies of his new lionesses.

She was the foundation of the lionesses that stood against the new king refusing to bow or submit to him for a long, long time, essentially splitting the few lionesses remaining in the pride in two groups. Providing distractions for all those youngsters and elderly that wished to escape the pride after the takeover especially those closely tied to their slayed king.

The day Zuberi allowed king Helios to mate her the whole pride knew that the time of unrest was coming to an end. As the first cubs of the new king were slowly introduced to the small pride she became the most coveted lioness by the king. Their relationship was one of frictions and arguments and would remain so. The whole pride considers Zuberi as one of the kings main queens but officially no such title was dared to be spoken. Zuberi is an important pillar of the pride instructing and leading hunts and patrols as well as guiding the youngsters in this role towards adulthood.

Zuberis biggest slight to the new king is that her first litter was truly not of Helios. Instead she went on a wide hunting loop and found herself a rogue that looked just close enough to her own pelt and strengt that she could get away with it. Some of Zuberis closest sisters knew what she has done. It was her last revenge, an expression of love and loyalty - for her old king Thrandil.


Fun fact:
Zuberi was bigger and brawlier than her mate and king Thrandil. Growing up under his rule, she adored him fiercely.
King Helios is just about her size, although more sleek he packs a brutal strength only a well trained male can achieve. Their arguments often turn into not so friendly brawling.

Origin:
Zuberi was born as the biggest and chubbiest cub ever seen by the broodmothers. Although she was subject of much snickering by her playmated and cooing by her nannies it soon became clear that all her chub went into her growth spurt.

Her good nature and patience with being teased even caught the kings attention. She was assigned to extra hunting and wrestling lessons by the huntresses by the kings suggestion that she might - like the former Queen be suitable to Buffalo hunting.

Zuberi is the strongest lioness in the pride. Her voice weights as heavily as the kings two guards and she is seen wrestling with the males if they think they can mouth off to her. She is often seen with the royals but never forgets to sleep with her huntresses.

Zuberi suddenly runs up to you, bops you on the paw, and shouts 'TAG! You're it'! You enjoy the game until you're tired.
