Azalea

Azalea was very bonded to tefnut, you’d often find them cuddling or grooming each other or just simply talking. Azalea Had feelings for tefnut but was worried she wouldn’t feel the same or their king wouldn’t agree, so she kept them to herself. Then one night, she heard yelling and crying coming from the top hill where the king slept most nights. She went up to investigate when it all quieted down to see tefnut’s bleeding body, she ran up to her assuming the worst. Tefnut opened her eyes slightly and smiled weakly, as she spoke softly “I would suffer a million times, if I could be by your side through it all.” Azalea laid down beside her, knowing she was too injured to move. Then she spoke, “I’d lay down my life, if it would keep you mine.” Tefnut closed her eyes and smiled, nuzzling into Azalea as she parted silently. Azalea mourned her lost love and brought many flower seeds to plant next to her, she left her pride in search for a better king to replace her old one. She found Cruciatus a young traveler, she told him her story and what she came looking for and he accepted and went to her native lands and discovered the way the king was, Cruciatus fought long with the old male but wisdom and strategy can only take you so far, and the king fell. Cruciatus didn’t want the death of the male on him so he helped the old king and told him as he wouldn’t mess with him and his now pride he could stay, and that’s just what he did. After Cruciatus got settled in he went to Azalea and explained how he can see the dead and could help her see them as well, she immediately started and in just a week she was able to talk to tefnut. Not for long but tefnut told her she’s been there the entire time and how proud she was of Azalea. Azalea and tefnut still talk like they used too, so if you see her laughing and talking to what seems like herself, just know some things aren’t always as they seem
