Consort Poinsettia

His majesty, Kore, was first married to Enyo long ago. In her later years he witnessed her die naturally while he was forced to continue serving his people. With the blessing of his late wife before her passing, and the political pressures from an aggressive sister mountain nation, Kore was begrudgingly remarried to Queen Calligra.
When the great prophet (and Kore’s adoptive mother) received messages of Enyo’s reincarnate being found Kore didn’t believe a minute of it. Despite this, they made an offer on the young girl (who would later be named Poinsettia) who was dragged kicking and screaming in to their camp.
Our punky, rebellious Poinsettia and married Kore *did* fall in love just as deeply as he and Enyo once had been, despite neither of them believing the reincarnation prophecy. After all, Enyo’s gift for shapeshifting had been repressed so that she could live a normal second life.
Kore may have been largely indifferent to the prophecy, but Poinsettia continued to be haunted, villainized, and secluded because of it. Both of them faced retaliation for their relationship taking place outside of Kore’s established marriage, though Poinsettia had to bear the brunt of it. Despite this, she stood out against even their great prophet and did what she could with the power of being a “consort”.

You hung out with Consort Poinsettia over dinner. She sometimes says stuff that seems so mean and yet... you feel as if you've never laughed harder in your life.
