Thunder was born into a life of privilege as the son of Queen Myrtle, and Nebula, the King of the Valley of Pitnith. From an early age, Thunder was spoiled by his parents and given everything he wanted. However, despite his privileged upbringing, Thunder was always a difficult cub. He was selfish and cruel to his siblings, often bullying them just for fun. As he grew older, his behavior only worsened.
When Thunder was a year old, his mother died suddenly, leaving Nebula to raise him alone. Nebula was devastated by the loss of his mate and became overly protective of Thunder. He spoiled him even more, hoping to ease his pain and fill the void left by Myrtle's death. He was adopted by Chari, a lioness who looks incredibly similar to him. She spoiled him as well. However, this only made Thunder more self-absorbed and entitled.
As Thunder grew into a young lion, he began to realize the power he held as the heir to the throne. He became increasingly cruel to his pride, taking pleasure in their suffering. Nebula favored Thunder over his own daughters, which only fueled Thunder's ego. He began to see himself as invincible, believing that no one could challenge him for the throne.
