Now, many years later, he is serving Wolfsmane's son, Nightshademane, and he is happy with his role. Desert found joy in exploring and searching, so the life of a pirate is good for him. He is still loyal to his pride and mane, but when the Elephant Seal, Gold Seeker, came to town, he helps search for gold and other treasures. Because of his dedication, his skin and nose became gilded and shone as bright as gold. It must've been a gift from the gods.
