◆◆◆ Being the last surviving member of a tribe is an incredibly hard position to be in. Mari sat at the entrance of the cave, warm sunlight was pouring in, hitting the paw prints of her ancestors and her own fur. The grass beneath her felt smooth and cool. She was the last. The looming pressures of her destiny were constantly pulling at her. She must find a mate of Rikon descent, and bear as many cubs as she could. The only problem was that Rikon is ruled by her father… who was cast out by her mother long before she was born for attempting to overthrow the tribe. She was not looking forward to seeing him. Especially having to explain that her mother not going through with her father’s ideas cost the tribe greatly… so greatly Mari was the only one left alive.
