Biography
One dark night under the dim light of a red moon there was a litter of cubs born. A group of three. Two of which took after their father in their coloration. And the last..well the last look just like her mother. Due to her coloration, and the red mood she was born under, she was gifted the name of BloodMoon.
As the cubs grew, it was obvious who was in charge. The red female cub was always quick to reprimand her brothers if they had done something wrong. Though the female had a temper, she was always looking out for the good of others. Her mother had been heart broken so she had given up the motherly duty. BloodMoon was left to care for herself and her brothers. She groomed them and kept then safe, even if she was the same age as them.
One day, when she and her brothers had wandered into the nursery of their pride, an awful sound came from outside. The shriek and shrill terror of one of the lionesses. BloodMoon was the first to investigate, she ran to the entrance and saw a lioness running, flames tearing at her pelt.
Wide-eyed and terrified the young female searched for her mother, thinking surely the lioness wouldn't leave her three cubs. But when she finally caught sight of her mother the lioness was fleeing, never once looking back.
Blood moon cursed her mother and turned to her brothers. The three of them helped the lionesses in the den gather their cubs and escape with them. The fire was hot on their heels, the lions and cubs being taken by the daunting flame.
Blood moon ran, never looking back, two cubs on either side of her, and a cub in her young jaws. The only time she looked back was when she had gotten the cubs to the other side. She turned in time to see her brothers trying to fight against the fire to save one another, but it was no use. Anger boiled in her belly, but she and the surviving cubs fled and ran as far away from the fire as they could. By the time they reached safety it was only her and the cub in her jaws.
The feeling of failing all of those cubs and her brothers began to eat her alive. Tears streamed down her fur as she groomed the coat of the cub she had managed to save.
A voice cut into her mind as she did so, turning he head she was her mother.
"My strong daughter, I've always known that you would be the one to survive out of the litter" BloodMoon lashed out, claiming her mother's fur with a blind rage, screaming at her for leaving them, and blaming her for the deaths of brothers. But eventually, the juvenile female collapsed to the earth with a sob.
Her mother sat, waiting for the young one to finish her session of tears before turning and calling her to follow. Unsure what to do with herself BloodMoon picked up the cub and followed her mother who led her to the rest of the pride members who had survived. There were multiple cubs without mothers, and she was the oldest. She went to them, placing the cub she had been caring for in the center of all of them. Each cub pressed close to her, shaking comfort from the broken juvenile.
Since the day the fire took so many helpless lives she cared for the cubs, and resented her mother. Her aggressive nature is nearly undetectable when it's just the cubs around her. She has raised many cubs, caring for them as if they are her own, and she is always alert and ready to fight for each of them something she wished her mother would have done for her.

"Get up my cub, we have plenty to do.... they won't let you play.... bc your tail?.... listen here little one, we have to embrace our differences and grow as a lion"
