Biography
lore by jelly [G2 tobiano x4 ros] ❗️❗️

"don't you ever miss the sky?"

the old nepheline would merely shake her head, and smile at such a simple question.

"quite the contrary. i find this place more comfortable than the heavens."

she would sprawl herself across the stone to bask underneath the sun, and perhaps tell yet another youngling about their journey.

she had been but another regular nepheline out of the many that the heavens had blessed. she did as a nepheline should - she fulfilled her duties, helped the weak, and saved those who couldn't fend for themselves, for years and years on end.

she had been so good at her job that demons dare not return to the surface near her.

until a day came when she paused by bushes of vibrant impala lilies, seeking a break for once. she sat herself by the succulents, admiring their beauty, wondering if there was more to life than just being a servant to the Heavens.

never had they once acknowledged her. never had they once communed with her. never had they once helped her out.

and even after decades of eradicating demons, never had an angel blessed her with their presence.

was heaven truly a good place? she'd found herself wondering, twiddling with the stems of lillies. she'd grown tired of being treated like a robot, like a servant. to be used and thrown away afterwards. what if she just laid low, and did as she pleased?

... what if she joined a pride, as a nepheline?

thus she did, and she was right. the heavens did not care, neither did they bother calling her back. they had simply forgotten about their soldiers - perhaps they thought that they had died defending their cause.

heavens, angels, their cause and their protection... she was having none of it.

she was going to live her life, be it nepheline or not. she deserved to experience what the mortals could, and deserved to be free. so what if the heavens had angels? so what if the demons won the war?

her happiness was now her priority, and her pride gave her more than enough.

"i fought for good. till i realized the good was no better than evil."
