α±α’αΎα - rune-reader and rune-seer
Pose: Snarky ()
Ended up getting a kind pose for her lol
α±α’αΎα was found by Odin in a cave full of cubs. The had a unique look about them. Their fur shining as if the moonlight was on it, even in the shadows. Theirs eyes were white, not like they were blind or Eldritch or cloudy, but a puer white.
She sat by herself in the back of the cave, hissing at anyone who came near her. When she saw the brightly colored king she stopped, looking at him, tilting her head.
"Hello darling, " Odin said, padding up to her. She flattened her ears but didn't make any movement.
"How would you like to come to my pride with me?" He asked, smiling. She lifted her ears, a hopeful look on her face. She then frowns.
"You'll leave me. You'll abandon me as soon as you discover what I am." She hissed quietly. Odin cocked his head.
"Now I hardly think- " he began, but she cut him off.
"DON'T EVEN START WITH ME SON OF A ααΎα¨α²α!" She yelled, swiping at him. Odin backed up, blinking in amazement.
"Runic. You speak rune." He breathed. She growled. Odin scratched his runic name in the dirt and she blinked at him.
"I can give you a home and a name. A runic one." He smiled. She got the hopeful look on her face.
"But... I do nothing but cause problems..." She frowned.
"Not at all darling, your just not properly trained. But my lionesses and myself can help you." He said kindly, sitting closer to her, hoping to earn her trust. Odin saw her give a slight smile, her fur seemed to crackle with engery.
"I want a home." She said quietly, her voice sad.
"And I have that home waiting for you. I promise, you will never be unwanted in my pride as long as I am king." He said, licking her head. She flinched under his touch but then relaxed, purring slightly.
"I'd like to adopt this one." Odin said padding up to the prides king. He glared at Odin and the adol slinking behind him.
"I barely think you have a big enough pride, look at yourself." The king snarled. Odin curled his lips, wanting to smack him but knew better. The adol looked scared.
"I can assure you, I have the pride. She will be kept." Odin frowned. The king huffed.
"Anything to offer?" He asked annoyed.
"A GMO chicken?" Odin offered, the king thought.
"Fine, give it to me and you can have her." He sniffed. Odin looked at the adol and back at the king.
"Deal. I'll be back at sunhigh." Odin said. He turned to the adol.
"Stay here. I promise I will be back, I'll come get you. I know he hurts you doesn't he." Odin whispered to her, then padded out of the cave. The adol nodded slightly and looked up, scared. She turned to leave to her corner but the king followed her.

Odin came as quickly as he could to the den, the precious chicken in his mouth, being careful not to penetrate it's flesh. He padded into the den but stopped when he saw what was going on.
"YOU'LL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING!" the king snarled at the adol. She was backed into a wall, cubs and lionesses avoiding eye contact on the other side of the cave. Blood tricked down from a large scratch over her eye and muzzle, tears rolling down her muzzle.
Odin jumped in between them, dropping the chicken and batting at the king. the king swiped at Odin but he swiftly dodges it, snarling loudly.
"We're leaving" he snarled. He turned around, licking the cubs face and then leading her out of the cave. Once the we're far away the cub sat down, her shoulders shaking, tears rolling down her muzzle. Odin sat next to her, not forcing anything on her.
"I- I- I didn't even do anything." She sobbed, pressing her head into Odin's fur, surprising him a bit.
"It hurts." She said, muffled from Odin's fur.
"I know, darling, I've gotten scars before. Its ok." He said in a quiet voice, licking her fur. She lifted her head.
"I want to go home. And I want my name. You promised." She said, her fur wet from crying.
"Of course, let's go home." Odin said standing up. She followed.

That night, Odin named the adol α±α’αΎα, rune-reader, for her special runic ability.
He took her in as his adopted daughter.
