Arakina is named for her golden spiderweb markings, and is very proud of them. She’s a chill lady, looking for a good place to rest for a while. The Kalahari Pride seems nice, and she is welcomed warmly.

Her second litter yields one son, who she adores just as much as the first two, despite hoping for a daughter. Nafasi, meaning ‘chance’, has to leave the pride before his second birthday, the pride is already full to bursting, the guard has more members than ever before. His mother encourages him to stay at the Giving Tree for a few days before going rogue. Who knows, another pride might have a place for a strong young lion.
Arakina’s third litter yields the daughter she’s been hoping for— three, in fact! She raises them with love, same as all her cubs, and is blissfully happy that they can stay in the pride as adults if they want to. The eldest, Subiri, likes pride life and moves to an allied pride as an adult, while her younger two, Furaha and Hekima, go rogue.
