Poor old Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ was resting away from the cubs for a reason today, but that didn't stop $ G3 antler 4m 4bo 1.9k from bounding over and bumping their Grandpaw's chin with the top of their head in adoration before scarpering off. Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ stares after them as they scamper away, but whatever he wanted to say isn't spoken.
$ g5 dfawn 5m 6bo is following Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦'s every move today - hopping in his footsteps, perking up at the same noises, even swishing and flicking their tail like his. Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ is keenly aware that his grandcub is there, but says nothing about it.
When Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ spots $ g5 dfawn 5m 6bo sulking after they were left out of games, he saunters over and sits down next to them. No words pass between Grandpaw and grandcub, but they seem to have a moment of understanding with each other.
Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ flatly retells a story about horrors of the night, without all the bells and whistles you would have included. What a snooze fest.
"There is a place where lions can drink and become young again," Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ states, very matter-of-factly. "Or, they can use it to grow older." The cubs don't believe him, no matter how much he insists it's true.
After being ordered to give the cubs a story, Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ sits awkwardly in front of them, hesitating to start. He begins one story, then decides against it. Another story ends the same way. In the end, he just tells them about how his day today went.
Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ takes Cub aside and gives them pointers on everything they failed today. Although Cub shrinks back in shame, they beg you for another chance.
Cub lags behind the rest of the cubs as they come back from training, tail low and looking sad. When Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ asks what's wrong, Cub tells him that the other cubs won't let them play with them. Grandpaw ✦Marceline✦ reassures Cub that when they are grown, they won't need anyone but their own wit and claws.
