Decoy was raised alongside his sister Marsheline, assuming a peaceful life under the care of Saggles's lionesses. Though males tend to be chased from their pride once they've reached two years of age, Saggles allowed him to stay. She was interested in the growth of his mane— or lack thereof —and intended to observe his health. Decoy's mane never grew in, and that was that. He didn't need it, though; the patch of fur had evolved over time to protect him from territorial disputes against other males, and Gator fought off intruders just fine. - A hyena wandered onto your territory and tried to steal some food but Decoy was quick enough to run up and scare it off. It ran away, but not without cackling at the guy for his lack of a mane. Poor dude…
