Taifa

Taifa is Adea’s second child with Mruki, her fifth cub over all. While Adea hates their father, she adores Taifa and her sister Djama.

Taifa wears royal body paint in honor of her mother and grandmother, though she makes no claims to any throne. Her elder sister Nyara couldn’t bear the paint over her extra fluffy fur, and Djama is…Djama, so Taifa is the only young lioness in the family to carry on the tradition.

When she and her sister Djama reaches adulthood, Djama refuses to stay in the Kalahari Pride (she never quite forgave Rego for Mruki’s death). Adea manages to convince Djama not to go rogue, and just to immigrate to her uncle Wema’s Pride. Taifa, Kula and Kisasi go with her, the twins to escape the looming shadow of who their father was, and Taifa to look after her sister.

They stay for all of a month. Then Kisasi, Kula and Djama get bored. They decide to go rogue after all, and invite Taifa to join them. To everyone’s surprise, Taifa stays. She…likes it here. And it has nothing to do with Yowë. Nope. Nothing at all.

When Regandi takes over the pride, Taifa is impressed to say the least. He’s young, handsome, charismatic…and kind. Something Yowë was not. Taifa decides she likes this new king.

~Taifa snuggles up to you with a loud purring noise as you near her, raking her body against yours. You are now covered in dirt.

~With a warm greeting, Taifa approaches you. She shakes herself off in front of you, propelling little particles of dirt and grass into your mane! 2x

~You watch a bit disturbedly as Taifa rolls around, gnawing on a smooth piece of rock and slobbering all over.
