Nix's Nando slowly opens his sleepy eyes. He can feel a tiny cub playing around with his toe, and he looks down at it, smiling to himself. He remembers that fateful day when he was offered a new home, amongst this powerful pride. The old king had not let him down, either. Nix's Nando was brought in and immediately adopted. He knows he may not become king for a while. But in the meantime, he will try to do what he can to impress the old king and all the queens. He swiftly grasps the little cub, who protests loudly, and begins to groom her.
