THE ATTACK:
It’s nearly a law of nature - that whoever harms an innocent cub damns themself. Unfortunately, this does not dissuade the evildoers from wreaking havoc.
Dysis herself was a direct victim to this testimony, on the night when a stranger had snuck into the territory under the cover of the insufficient light of the moon. The nursery is a feasible target once the main defenses have been breached, and the intruder took great advantage of that.
Calliope stood guard at the entrance, while some of the awake cubs played and scurried around, Dysis being one of them. They tussled and shoved, and eventually ended up outside of the nursery before Calliope could scold them.
What happened next was straight out of a nightmare for the poor cubs - the intruder attacked. Calliope was targeted, and injured badly. In a daze of confusion the cubs made a run for the back of the nursery, but the attacker was right on their tails. He slashed Dysis’s face before Bacia could step in and murder him before he caused any more harm.
Dysis and Calliope were the only ones injured, but the poor cub would suffer difficulties from her injuries later in life as well. Her eye was slashed, leading to an infection that spread and left her blind in both eyes. Her lip and nose were also torn, which had its repercussions when it came to feasting, talking, and doing simple duties others had the pleasure of doing pain-free. Her wounds troubled her, but prompted her to begin being grateful for the things she had at her disposal.

Fun Facts:
-Dysis is Blind! Due to an incident during a battle where some attackers got past Aneila and into the nursery. They injured Calliope badly before turning their attack to the cubs. Dysis was the only one injured before Bacia murdered the attacker in cold blood. Dysis being blind and unable to protect herself or the above is why Aneila had to beg for Utopias to let her stay. This attack also tore part of her lip and nose which gives her a heck of a lot of troubles.
