Loved and cherished and so, so precious, she thought the world of her parents…until suddenly, without a word, the newly weaned cub was abandoned at the Giving Tree. She cried out, desperate, wanting to know what she’d done wrong so she could fix it and they could go back home together, but the only answer she got was a cold, uncaring look over the shoulder from her father before he left. Lunaria’s mother didn’t even bother to look back. Needless to say, Lunaria has some serious trust and abandonment issues, and though she was picked up by Lightning and adopted from the Tree it took her a long time to internalize that she is in fact worthy of being loved, and that she will never be abandoned again.
