Mhuni

Mhuni means ‘vandal’. She is a pretty rogue Rego brings home, which is uncharacteristic of him. Lions aren’t naturally monogamous, but he’s pretty close. He and Mhuni really hit it off immediately though, and when Kona meets her she has to admit the wanderer is ok. Just ok 🤣

Mhuni is the only lioness beside Kona that Rego has romantic feelings for. He has cubs with a few other lionesses in the pride, because that’s one of the duties of being king, but views the mothers of those cubs only as cherished friends. Mhuni is different, the two like to flirt, and spend time together in a definitely not platonic way.

It takes Mhuni a little while to integrate into the pride, but once Kona accepts her, the rest follow suit. Kona can’t really be that jealous, she and Rego trust each other completely, and their relationship isn’t exactly closed. And Mhuni has no desire for rank or position, she just likes Rego. Which is fair, Rego is a catch.
