The sun was just beginning to crawl over the rocks of the cave. All was quiet, and young Amadeus was content to keep sleeping. A voice that rang through the cave, however, had other plans. “Amadeus?” It asked. Amadeus opened his eyes reluctantly, recognizing the voice of Foam. He’d met the older Primal a few times before. He was usually busy at every possible hour, preparing to take his place on the Throne. “What is it?” He asked. “Come with me a moment.” Foam said, with a tone like falling rocks. Amadeus groaned. “Don’t you have something better to do?” but Foam shook his head, standing completely still. “Come with me.” The older male asked again. “Trust me, it’s important.” Amadeus stood and followed Foam out of the cave, trying not to let his frustration slip any further. The two lions traveled farther than the younger had ever traveled before, arriving at the rocky banks of a roaring river. [WIP. written by me]
