Biography
On an early summer morning, a visit from the thick-maned, large deity of the Tundra pride has visited. She keeps her distance and is respectful as always as she makes her way through the allied pride's territory, but it is obvious there is some distress painting her typically calm expression and disposure. Approaching the pride's king, she dips her head in respect and turns around, picking up a scrawny figure in her maw. It is a cub - a pinkish-tinted cub. Despite its young age, its warm grey eyes are wide open and it observes everything in curious detail.

"I apologize for my nuisance," Legion begins. "The Tundra pride has suffered from a large spread of disease."

Disease in the summer? That is certainly peculiar. From her expression, it is clear the maned lioness knows this, too.

"I do not ask you believe me, but, please - this cub has chased the sickness from our pride - take her, I beg of you. It is my one wish."

The lioness from the allied tribe seems to again observe how strange this sounds. She places the scrawny cub down, releasing it from her maw's grasp. It stares up at you with those big grey eyes. How can such a small cub be the curer of disease?

You have doubted the cub for obvious reasons, but still decide to take care of her as to abide the deity's request. She has been growing steadily, and, despite her obvious attitude, she is quick to learn. She has assumed the name "Cardinalidae" after the family of birds - though she accepts Cardinal as a nickname. The cub seems to be learning more and more everyday.

It was not until a sickness had washed over some of your pride's queens that it was realized Legion had been telling the truth. As soon as Cardinal had heard of the troubled felines, she had raced over, carrying some unknown herbs in her maw. The feline had made the queens chew the herbs. In a matter of hours, the queens seemed revitalized - and Cardinal had just sat in the corner, watching with pride in her eyes.

It seems the maned lioness had been telling the truth after all.
