Anioลeczek's second surviving son, the first being a lion named Dogoda, son of Rubena, Hiacynt is not considered of the king's royal bloodline, as his mother was one of the kings many concubines. His mother claimed the only reason why he was left alive upon the reveal of his birth sex was because the king was still heirless at the time, and was desperate to have some sort of male-backup if he was to die without such, and something happened to Dogoda.
Hiacynt was not lavished in his cub-hood and he grew jealous of the much older Dogoda, who was always seen at the king's side. He despised being treated as "the alternative to the alternative," and made sure to argue frequently with his father whenever he got the chance. His mother tried to teach her son manners and curtsy so at least he could keep his head when interacting with the pride's higher society members, but they never stuck. Hiacynt was not cruel. He was simply stubborn for a better future.
Hiacynt would keep this rebellious fire in his adolescence, if anything worsening his attitude towards others and beginning to grow violent at the practice of Dogoda being forced to take him out on training patrols. The older lion was abusive to him while they were alone, which only served to toughen Hiacynt and foster his disdain for his own bloodline. It would only be a matter of time and battering of patience when, upon one patrol, Hiacynt was the one to attack Dogoda first. Caught off guard, the elder brother was beaten in a long, bloody fight and left for dead. Hiacynt's victory was tainted with punishment from his father upon Dogoda's return to the pride.
Hiacynt had managed to take out Dogoda's eye and badly damage his other, scarring his face beyond handsome recall. With this visual impairment, their father had no choice but to retire Dogoda from the line of potential succession for the pride. The crime also kicked Hiacynt from the role, but he continued on, scars on his back from the lashing punishment, with the headstrong claim that he had taken Dogoda out of the game and claimed his spot.

You attempt to teach ๐น Hiacynt ๐น how to grab fish, but they get distracted just rolling in the water. Ah well. You join them and eventually you both come home with muddy paws.
