Starting Lore: "You're walking pretty fast for someone who is nervous." Mitch commented behind Bunnie who was a few feet in front of him. She looked behind her, practically out of breath. "Sorry, but can't one be both nervous and excited?"

Mitch couldn't help but laugh, "Just like your mother..." The words were muttered under his breath. She stands at a halt at the border of the village waiting for Mitch to catch up. When he finally does he goes to sit next to her, a few human children running around them. The both of them eye the giggling children before Bunnie speaks up, "I am sure gonna miss this place." Mitch laughs and pumps his shoulder against hers, "You're saying that like your going away forever."

Bunnie bows her head down, seeming a bit shy, "Sorry dad, it's just gonna be a long journey and if I miss home I can't just come back." Tilting his head Mitch gives his daughter kind smile as his eyes soften before resting his chin atop hear head. Bunnie instantly snuggled up to her fathers chest as they just stayed there for a while. "You know you can always come back, I know the journey will be long but taking a break from all of this will be a good thing." Mitch's voice is soft and Bunnie couldn't help but just not. "And I might have something for you before you leave." Just as Mitch said those words the children that were playing around them before comes back holding a Punk Rabbit Headwrap

Bunnie's eyes water up as she rubs head under Mitch's chin. She moves closer to the children as they happily rub her fur and place the headpiece on her head. It was like she knew her father and mother wanted her to have it for when she does miss home she had something to remember them by. Having a new sense of determination she sprints off into the world to begin her own adventure.

Diary Entry -
Bunnie had been traveling for several weeks since leaving her birth pride, seeing many environments along the way. Though she had covered many miles through the savannah she couldn’t seem to find another pride. That was fine, for now, as she was still a small adolescent and the rabbits still ran plentiful. She knew the easy small prey would run dry soon though. On her third week on travel the lioness came to a vast desert, and knowing there was nothing to be found behind her pressed on. She travelled for the day, finding a small cave to shelter in for the night.

The night was not restful however; merely hours into her slumber the adolescent was awoken by the sound of footsteps outside. She was nearly startled out of her fur when she saw a young Ferus at the entrance of her cave. With a scramble back she quickly called out, “Hello! I mean no harm, I’m a traveler!”

The dappled gold and brown Ferus tilted his head before clearing his throat, “A traveler you say, do you seek shelter? I don’t mean to scare you, but the painted wolves travel these lands, and they’re a tough fight for one such as yourself.” The Ferus was an odd sight, huge in stature though his fur was delicately painted.

Bunnie’s tail twitched nervously, she had heard stories of such creatures though she hadn’t met any yet. “If you would be so kind; I haven’t found any prides yet. Are you your prides leader? I don’t want to impose.”

The Ferus gave a chuffing laugh, “I’m not leader yet, still have some training ahead of me, but I have enough authority to take you in. You’re thin as a viper; are you eating well?” He began to walk, stopping after a few seconds to look back, expecting the traveler to follow.

And follow Bunnie did, trotting after the Ferus. “The rabbits have kept me fed well enough, I’m still learning to properly hunt.”

“Well, you won’t find all that many rabbits out here in the dunes. Lizards maybe, but you can’t grow on lizards. You can’t grow all that well on rabbits matter of fact, my old man says he knew a lion who went crazy after eating nothing but them, not enough fat on their bones he says.”

Bunnie listened as the Ferus talked in his strange accent, perhaps the fangs made it difficult to talk like other lions. “If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your name?”

“Well it will be Kanellos once I come to lead the pride, and that’s not too far off so.” Though he had been rather down to earth so far, he gave a toothy grin as he said that. “Some championships are forming in a canyon not too far off and I’m training there so that I’ll be ready when the time comes.”

“Championships?”

“They happen every now and again, the canyons make good arenas. You have some old pride leaders and some youngsters, it’s fun! All in good sport of course, don’t want anyone dying for a game.”

The two continued to talk as they walked, eventually coming to a gorge that cut through the desert landscape. The young lioness was introduced to the pride by the Submale Kanellos, who explained that she was a traveler and could use some help getting some meat on her bones. Bunnies ears burned a bit with embarrassment as he said that, but she guessed it was true.

She met several lions like Kanellos in the pride, many sporting primal features in some way or another. The head hunting party quickly took her under their wing, mainly composed of primal lions alongside a golden lioness with black patches. They put the young lion to work stating firmly but gently that if she was going to stay with them, and even more importantly, if she was going to leave them, she needed to know how to hunt more than rabbits and lizards. They trained hard, though her time was not without fun either. The young lioness learned how this pride painted the walls of their gorge with stories of the past, and accompanied them when they went to the championships. Both their leader, the first Kanellos, and their submale, the second Kanellos fought in the arenas tearing around like dust devils. Their pride always adorned themselves with intricate paints before they travelled to the arenas, and taught the Lioness how to do the same. They explained that not only did it of course look cool, but the paint could protect their skin from the blistering heat on their desert journey. Saffron, the golden and black lioness in particular took the time to teach Bunnie how to apply such paints, and how to make the pigments by crushing up nuts and fruits.

Eventually though, as the months passed, the call of exploration once again reached Bunnie’s ears. This pride which she had found held a great feast the day before she was to leave, wishing her well. The young Ferus which had brought her in escorted her to the territory edges, telling her to be sure to come back with stories one day, and to stay safe.

Diary Entry:

Bunny traveled long and hard, searching with a new fierce determination. She was going to find any and all pride she could, and learn their ways in order to show her parents just how proud they could get to be of her. Through rain, scorching heat, cold, and warm, she pressed on. The paint she gathered along the way truly did help shield her against the harsh rays of sunlight.

On her seventh exploration day, she came across a lone wanderer. Wary, she crept closer, remembering the skills she had been taught by her first friends. She hid behind a rock, steadily maneuvering closer... until...

"Bunny?" Laughed Xanthia, an older traveler from her pride. Her coat shone with glee, and she carried a variety of decor with her. Bunny's ears twitched with joy at the familiarity, and she happily approached. With a nuzzle, and some catching up, Xanthia shared her stories of everything she had experienced thus far, and all the dangers she had gone through. She told Bunny of her son, the first pride she saw, and the most recent. In return, Bunny told her of the ferus pride she had been with, who had taught her useful skills, and who may also teach Xanthia the same.

Bunny's stomach rumbled, and with clear directions, she and Xanthia promised to meet again once their travels completed before they each moved off to the described prides.

Bunny strode along a long line of trees, needing to pause mid-step as a large mix of cubs and adolescents swarmed past, a few dragging her along. Confused, and alarmed, bunny began to run along, her eyes wide and filled with fright.

A bull elephant shrieked in the distance, chasing after them with speed no large creature such as that should hold. She was far from grown, yet she knew she had skills. Bunny stopped and turned around, rushing carefully behind the elephant before she gave a leap of faith. And leap, she did. She climbed and climbed and clambered on top, her balance swayed with each movement.

In a frenzy of where to go from there, she hurriedly covered the elephant's eyes, yelling out as he began to flail and rampage toward a tree. She matched its screeching, and before the elephant could hit the tree with her on top, she was suddenly tackled to the ground.

Bunny watched with a groan of pain as the elephant knocked into the tree and stumbled back, her eyes widening in astonishment as a flurry of lionesses and lions attacked the elephant with precision as if though it had been practiced over and over again. The lion standing over her slowly lowered his head as he gazed over her before he spoke in a gentle tone, "are you alright? That was quite the fall, my apologies."

With a small nod, the adolescent got to her feet, panting slightly as the adrenaline remained lingering through her veins. Another lion appeared, an intimidating lioness with colours so fierce. Her tone even more so, "Who might you be? Another traveler?"

Bunny nodded shyly as more lionesses surrounded them, all whispering in excited tones, or curious cautions. Then, two lionesses stepped forward, giving her warm smiles, "welcome little one. You were quite brave taking that elephant on. For that, we'll welcome you with open arms and teach you a few of our ways. Come,"

For a month, Bunny spent bonding with everyone in the two mixed prides, she learned of the Kings, one a sweetheart, and one mean. She learned of the two gentle broodmothers, Navari Oma, and Butterfly. She assisted in babysitting, in hunting, and in foraging. She learned of how diverse the prides were, and of how accepting they were to everyone. There were primals, lionesses without tails, lioness with floppy ears, and a snarky, long-teethed lioness she grew to befriend more so than the others, called Belle. She saw the heir of Mèrcury's pride, and his unique white spots, and she saw the little heir of Moonie's pride, and his dark blotches.

At night, she would listen to their tales, climbing over Mèrcury and his two submales with the other adolescents and cubs, laughing as she chased Ebony's butterflies around, and purring as she snuggled with the broodmothers. She felt at home, and like a true little one again. She joined them in hunts, learning how to take down bigger prey, and she learned how to read others better.

With a heavy heart and a rush of excitement, Bunny knew it was time to go again, and with that, she gathered her souvenirs and greeted them all, promising to one day return before she headed off towards a new pride.
