~Asteria~

Asteria was an outsider of the pride when she was an adolescent. As a cub, the King of the Pride of Flames kept an eye on her, as she showed a large amount of potential - always the first to inspect a new creature that she'd never seen - whether it be a lizard or a beetle, she showed no fear. The King of the pride - Sagati, had some sort of change in him when Asteria became 1 year old. It seemed that she had been forgotten about, replaced in his interest by her sister, Zarani. Asteria felt a bit disappointed as she continued to grow, and when she was a year and 3 months old, Sagati took her to where lions often traded for food, amusement, and most often, cubs and lionesses. She was extremely worried where she might end up, as she'd heard stories of lionesses being attacked constantly after being bought.

A Male named Lightningflash - a fiery pelt and mane dark as the night, noticed Asteria, and immediately knew he'd do anything to have her join his pride. He saw a spark in her that he'd only ever seen a pawful of times, and knew he needed to convince Sagati to let him have her. He eventually worked out a deal, and Asteria went back to his pridelands to become apart of it. She fit in much better, as these lions were very welcoming, and taught her many new skills that The Pride of Flames never even knew about.

Fast-forward almost 14 years, and Asteria is the queen. Sadly, Lightningflash retired from his position as king of The Pride of Sunsets, and his son, Xylion, became the new king. Him and Asteria are quite similar; Strong, determined, clever and resourceful. Asteria has had many cubs, and is expecting another one soon, and many of the pride believes that if she has another daughter, she'll become the next queen, as Asteria is aging, and will have to retire eventually.
