Merciful

Ushauri is the son of Nia and the first real grandson of the beloved King Renuka, though he never got to meet the latter. Growing up, he is doted on by his mother and the rest of the pride, well-liked for his strong morals and courage. When Tabus becomes king after murdering Vukari, Ushauri feels fear for the first time in his life and is forced to submit alongside the others. Tabus allows him to stay if only to have a bodyguard, knowing full well Ushauri is not strong enough to defeat him in combat. Ushauri deeply regrets this role and is torn between loyalty to his king and defending the legacy of his uncle and grandfather. During this time, he shares a deep and powerful love affair with Cheza, taking pity on her plight. She bolsters his confidence again and he begins to form a plan to take control of the kingdom as Tabus becomes weaker in age. His plan succeeds and he becomes king following Tabus' demise. As king, he works very hard to rule with benevolence and mercy, trying to make up for the mistakes made during Tabus' reign of terror. Ushauri's rule is well-received by his people and he is ultimately recognized for his honor and compassion, fostering the hope that the coming years ahead will be good ones for the kingdom. Sadly, Ushauri's reign is short-lived as he dies from an unforeseen illness just a few years down the line. Thankfully, he leaves behind a son to carry on his legacy.
