Born at 1592 Stats \| SOUL STAR...A CHALLENGER APPROACHES... ScornFang had observed this pride for the past year, carefully putting together a plan to overtake it. The TurtleRiver pride was perfect. Plus, its leader SoulStar, was near his end anyway. Overthrowing wouldn't change much. During his time observing the king, he slowly began to dislike him. not just as a rival, but as a being. He disliked the way he treated others and handled things. It was time it ended. As SoulStar neared the age of 15, ScornFang approached...out of the fog of morning he stepped. "SOULSTAR..." The beast called to the elder leader. "You have disrespected this land with your name long enough. I <i>scorn</i> you." "And who exactly are you? The only form of disrespect here is your presence." SoulStar retorted, standing his ground despite his weary joints. Lionesses began to appear out of their dens with concern. "After today, I will be known as ScornStar. Leader of the <i>TurtleRiver pride.</i>" The battle that followed was quick. ScornFang quickly overwhelmed SoulStar with his great size and strength. Left with only some scratches and bruises, soul star was officially defeated. ScornFang leaped up upon the rocky outcropping embedded into the walls of camp and roared, making sure his presence was known to everything in the territory. He glanced down to PineFall who anxiously watched her mate. No lion dared move a muscle. ScornStar spoke up. "SoulStar will remain here to live out the rest of his life. Go to him." That was all Pinefall needed to hear to rush to her mate's side. Soulstar grumbled with bitterness as Pinefall lead him to the Guard Den to clean his wounds. In the days that followed, four of the younger members left the pride. They respected SoulStar too much to stay and watch him die. BlueSplotch, CliffSeeker, NightStreak, and ImperialPaw left together.
