Bio: Clematis was an injured older adolescent taken in by humans and tended to until full recovery, being one of the last few barbary lions in the area that survived. Soon he was released into their reserve to live life out in the wild again, taking over the dying Khuma pride that lived within and overthrowing their king with it. Many who lived under the newly-dethroned Basil followed him, except for one lioness (Esta) that Clematis took under his wing and helped "rebirth" her into a new identity. The rest of them he had to build from the ground up.
Clematis is known to be cool-headed and hard to anger, welcoming to those that come to his community for any sort of refuge. It's been said that by the time you stay around, it's really hard to leave. He treats all of his lionesses as if they're special and loved, dissuading any worries they have, especially in regards to their humanoid friends that reside nearby. He is known to be somewhat of a dreamer, wandering the territory's boundaries seemingly aimless and following the voices that whisper beyond that call him, and was riddled with dreams of his ancestors as young as he was a cub. When he's not spending time in the living with his community, he's working with his herbs and walking the spirit realm. He also believes he's on a higher level of existence due to his previous contact with humans, something lions don't usually have.
When he's on his deathbed, Clematis has the ability to do a complete bodyswap to those he considers heirs to his land, which is what allows him to live for many many years to come and restart his life for generations. The new Clematis has the former king's spirit funneled into his body, and takes his name and appearance and personality as a result, leaving the old body to die as a husk while he walks another 15-16 years in the new.
He does not care for calling his group a "pride" in the slightest and instead prefers to call it a "garden". He lures in lone lionesses with the promise of safety, good food, and a loving home, with the statement that he'll help nourish them and grow.

- He loves croc carcasses due to their unique taste, and sharks for their fishiness.
